Dear Leslee,
I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you what Ed's books have done for me; they have taught me so much about the hackamore and spade bit. I've had the best teachers on these, I think, that are alive today: Ernie Morris, Dick Deller, Reg Peart, and Ralph Pavey. They are all very good friends of mine and have taught me many great things about the old ways. It's hard to find someone who knows the old ways of horsemanship, and Ed's books have been a great asset to my knowledge. I have learned so many small things that get overlooked in the process and have been able to pick them up in his teachings. I agree with Ernie when he told me that he was born in the wrong time and wished he could've lived in his grandfather's time. I'm right with him on that statement even though I'm only 27 years old, so I'm a real throwback to tradition. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate Ed's hard work and effort to get these books published; he has brought much education and passion of the "Californio" ways. Thanks for taking the time to read my letter.
Sincerely,
John Greber Jr.
